Lewis’s Bike Repair Dream Realised

Sam Collison, September 24, 2024September 24, 2024

Lewis, who lives in Droitwich, has been supported to start up a bike repair project on the Westlands estate.

The Droitwich Wellbeing Hub supports people with their mental health and wellbeing, and welcomes people of all ages from the Droitwich Community. The team has worked with Lewis to bring his idea to life, as part of a broader community wellbeing project supported by Worcestershire County Council, Public Health.

The bike project has seen early success, with Lewis refining his skills, helping people stay active, and forging new social connections.

Councillor George Duffy said: “It’s great to see Lewis fully set up”

“I tend to cycle everywhere, so it’s made a pretty big difference to my day”

Lewis would like to set up a shop when he’s older and is currently exploring apprenticeship opportunities.
