Jigsaw Inclusive Dance Group | Community Stories

Olivia Toye, June 19, 2024November 4, 2024

The Jigsaw Dance Class was set up by Dancefest in 2021 to provide an inclusive, creative class for all adults aged 18+. The weekly class takes place in Worcester and empowers participants to enjoy different sensations, feelings and emotions as well as express feelings through dance.

The class gives participants opportunities to meet new friends and build their confidence.

“[I like] everything really. I enjoy doing it. And meeting new friends. And doing new dance routines. I’m more confident now. So, I am performing with the dance club groups as well. It makes me excited to come here every Tuesday. I miss it when it’s not on in the summer holidays.” – Jigsaw Dance Class member

“It’s inclusive and people are accepting, and I just really, really enjoy it. I just love it and I get more and more confident inside the house and outside. I’m enjoying trying to be creative.” – Jigsaw Dance Class member
