Bromsgrove women’s group – a place to grow

Sam Collison, June 12, 2024June 14, 2024
Gather & Grow, a women’s walking and wellness group based in Bromsgrove, is thriving, hitting 1,000 followers on social media this week as it continues to support people to make new friends and connections.

The group brings women together to walk, talk and make friends. They also practice mindfulness in the form of meditation and other wellbeing exercises. For those who can’t attend, they support people on social media, even holding online meditations and exercises such as journaling.

Making connections with others can be just as important to physical and mental health as exercise and healthy eating. Groups such as Gather & Grow tackle loneliness to help people feel more connected, less isolated, and ultimately healthier.

One person said “This group of ladies are amazing, friendly and very welcoming. l can find social activities scary and awkward sometimes, but this group are so welcoming without being overpowering. Such a mix of great ladies. The Sunday morning walks clear the cobwebs for the day ahead.”
If you would like to take part and meet new people, follow: Gather & Grow and say hello.

Gather & Grow has also signed up to The Stay Connected pledge, a local initiative encouraging organisations to help people make and maintain social connections. To find out more read here: https://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/…/stay-connected-pledge

This project has been funded by a grant from Public Health, Worcestershire County Council
