A brand new outdoor gym has officially opened outside the Sergeants’ Mess Community Hub in Norton and it’s already making a difference.
This free-to-use facility is designed to bring people together to move, chat, and enjoy the outdoors. Whether you’re looking to boost your physical health, improve your mental wellbeing, or simply connect with others in the community, this space is here for you.

Funded by the Norton juxta Kempsey Parish Council, Severn Waste, Tesco and a Public Health Community Wellbeing grant, the gym is especially valuable for people who feel anxious in enclosed gym spaces, residents seeking free accessible fitness options and those who want to reconnect with neighbours and build community bonds
One local resident shared:
“It’s a regular part of my routine now to come down and enjoy the outdoor gym twice a week. It’s a great thing to have in the community.”
