New Healthy Worcestershire sessions launch across the County

Sam Collison, July 11, 2024July 12, 2024

A new programme encouraging adults to be more active and connect with others in their community has launched in recent weeks.

Healthy Worcestershire sessions have begun at venues in Evesham, Upton-Upon-Severn, Blackwell in Bromsgrove, Abberley in Redditch and Perdiswell in Worcester, marking the first of many free groups being set up for residents.

The groups aim to bring people together, get them moving, and support healthy lifestyles and improved wellbeing.

The reasons people have shared for joining the groups include ‘getting out to meet new people’ and ‘to get fitter’, but what is being noticed most is the connections being built as people come together to improve their social wellbeing and have fun!

Residents can book online, via telephone or turn up on the day to access strength and balance sessions, as well as group-based lifestyle support and community safety advice.

If you are looking to join a local group, take part in a healthy activity, or get involved with your local community please find out more at:

Healthy Worcestershire (www.healthyworcestershire.org.uk) or telephone 01905 928185
