Kids and care home residents get active

Sam Collison, July 12, 2024July 22, 2024

Residents at The Mews Care Home in Droitwich have been enjoying visits by pupils from nearby St Peters Primary School to get active together.

The school has purchased equipment, such as hoops and beanbags, to share with the care home and help keep both pupils and residents moving. The project aims to support the social cohesion of younger people and older adults within the community through physical and wellbeing activities.

The sessions have been enjoyable for all, as the children have grown in confidence interacting with another generation, and the care home residents feeling included and fulfilled.
