Families visiting any Family Hub in the county can now pick up a free piece of fruit for their child.
Led by Worcestershire County Council’s Public Health team, fresh fruit is available at the reception of every Family Hub. This is to help encourage healthier eating habits from an early age.

Parents and carers visiting a family hub can learn about support they may be eligible for, including Healthy Start and food bank vouchers. Families can also get tips on food planning, reducing food waste and saving money.
The scheme supports the message of eating at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day. They are an important part of a balanced diet, providing essential vitamins, minerals and fibre.
Fruit and vegetables should make up just over a third of the food we eat each day. You can choose from fresh, frozen, tinned, dried or juiced. It all counts!
