Custom Area Reporter: Quick Start Guide

Accessing custom area reporter

Custom area reporter allows you to aggregate data at either LOSA or Electoral Ward level.

You can access the custom area reporter via the home page menu under tools.

Selecting your custom area

To get started, simply choose either Ward or LSOA from the drop-down menu on the right-hand side of the screen.

There are several different tools on the right-hand side of the map that allow you to select the areas that you wish to aggregate.

Draw a point, allows you to select individual areas on the map even when separated from each other.

    Draw a rectangle, allows you to select adjacent areas using a box/rectangle shape.

   Draw a circle, allows you to select adjacent areas using a circle shape.

   Draw a polygon, allows you to select adjacent areas using a free form polygon.

  Draw a polyline allows you to select adjacent areas using a free form polyline.

Clears your selection so you can start again.

There is also a search box at the bottom right that can be used to find a ward or address.

The available reports are generated on the left-hand side of the screen, use the mouse to select the required report. This will open into a new window.

Downloading Reports/Charts

The generated report has a navigation bar at the top where you can select pages and print or download reports as pdf documents.

At the bottom of each chart there is a icon that allows you to download data into excel.
